The Red Scare causes a lot of Americans fear that Communism will rule the USA, and Russia spies steal information from USA. This fear was widespreaded, from government agency to companies, and to neiborhood, everybody was watching if there was a commnuist around them. Because of the Red Scare, HUAC were form to investigate the suspicion of Communist in USA, which cause many people lost their jobs. During the McCarthism, the civil right of the people were been challenged,the right of the private, people were wiretaped. also they received a unfair investigation.
In the Red Scare increased when the Russia has its own nuclear weapon, people fear these were spies in the country, and there might be a nuclear attack in the homeland. So USA and Russia start a war of espionage and a race of nuclear power. These two powerful countries spy each other, create more nuclear weapon it other countries had more. Later, there was a space race, competion of Aeronautics Technology.

After World War II American public afraid to the Communist, but with act of making serious but unsubstantiated against in public life with irrelevant evidence McCarthyism associated with the red scare referred to as see Red Scare. The Red Scare is the applied term given to a time to a time in which Americans feared Communist influence in the United States from 1917 to 1920. But the McCarthyism brought about the second Red Scare in US in the late 1940’s.

On February 25th 1954 Senator Joseph McCarthy took on the US Army. He issued Summons to Army of giving an honorable discharge allege Communist sympathizer. It was the beginning with the end with as known as the McCarthyism.
Senator Joseph McCarthy had been exploiting the nation’s fear of Communist for what many believed to be for his own gain. American not only feared the Soviet Union, but they worried that Communist were infiltrating the government in an attempt to overthrow America. McCarthy was the man most responsible for reinforcing such fears.
Victim of McCarthyism many innocent victims of McCarthyism and hundreds were imprisoned. Most of innocent that have connection the Communist’s party in some point their life. Victims were black listed including actors, authors, Civil rights activists and physicists. McCarthy’s hunt a list 205 Communists employed by the statement. His charges led the years of Senate and house investigations and were responsible for many people losing their jobs that were the people against.

Klaus Fuchs

Klaus Fuchs was born on December 29, 1911, in Russelsheim, Germany. Fuchs attended both Leipzip University and Kiel University. He earns PhD in physics from the University of Bristol. He become a communist in 1932, and escaped from Germany to England in 1933 when the Nazi Party. In 1943, he is transferred to the Columbia University and then been working on the Manhattan Project, and he was working on “Fat Man”. In 1945-1946, he is accused pass important nuclear weapon information to Russia. He is sent jail for fourteen years of spying. And he is release in 1959. Then he went back to East Germany, and he married a friend from his years as a student Communist, Margarete Keilson. He continues on his scientific work, and he died in January 28, 1988.
He was related to the Red Scare and McCarthyism because when Russia had its own nuclear weapon, USA fear that there was spies in the country who pass important nuclear information to Russia, so he had been investigated, and send to trial.
